I'm Trudy, I’m the principal of Dance in Partners and have been dancing since I was just 5 years old. I have done formal exams and also tried my hand at competing in Ballroom and Latin disciplines. Additionally I have experience in Tap, Stage and Modern but my heart has always been with Ballroom and Latin dancing.
After a few years break where I enjoyed time having a young family, I started helping out at the classes my children attended and realised how much I missed it!
In 2011 Joanne and I took over Stevensons School of Dancing, the school where it all started for me, and changed the name to Dance in Partners.
Joanne retired at the end of May 2021 and I welcomed my daughter, Becci, who has been helping in the background for a number of years officially into the business.
I'm Becci, I began dancing with Stevensons School of Dancing aged 7 and have been dancing ever since!
Helping with the children’s classes and then attending adult classes to dance with people who needed a partner got me into teaching by the time I was 16 and I have continued helping on evenings and weekends around my studies and then full time employment.
I cannot get enough of the freedom I feel when dancing myself and the joy and pride I experience seeing people I have helped enjoying themselves or getting the hang of that really tricky bit!
